Lisa Gill

Lisa Gill, included in the Thinkers50 Radar 2020, coaches teams and organisations who are interested in becoming self-managing and facilitates leadership courses that train people in a more adult-adult, coaching style of leadership with Tuff Leadership Training.

She is also the host of the Leadermorphosis podcast, for which she has interviewed more than 75 thought leaders and practitioners from all over the world about the future of work. Lisa is the co-author of the book 'Moose Heads on the Table: Stories About Self-Managing Organisations from Sweden' (2020).

One of Lisa's main passions is exploring the inner shifts needed for new ways of working to work. She is also committed to sharing stories and examples in her role as 'reporter on the future of work' for two reasons. First, to embolden those who want to experiment and haven't started yet. And second, to reassure those who have already started their transformation journeys that they are not alone, and that their struggles are not because they are doing it wrong, but because it is hard.

“Turning self-managed teams from a good idea into reality is a big challenge and Lisa Gill is leading the way in making it happen.”

What is Leading Complexity?

Leadership is increasingly complex. It’s a constant challenge to keep up with the accelerated advancement of digital technologies, in both our organizations and our ways of doing business.

In pace with this exponential change is a growing desire for simplicity. Shortcuts that help us understand and implement what needs to be done. At the same time, experience and common sense tell us that there are no easy answers.

Leading a business has never been easy. There’s never been a one-size-fits-all solution for moving forward. It’s always been a flexible balancing act with an ever-changing set of parameters. The difference now is that it’s all happening faster than ever before.

That’s what Leading Complexity is all about. And the proven leadership tools, methods and perspectives that will help you keep your eyes on the prize.
